I've tried to think of a way to breed bees automatically using computer craft and the beealyzer, having all the possible bugging bee combinations in apiaries, create drones then move them on to the next stage until you have drones of each species. But I haven't started to do it in game and was wondering if anyone else has ever tried to go full automated be breeding

Direwolf20 has done exactly that in some of his previous let's plays, you can search his youtube site for them. I would imagine some of the code would have to be modified for current versions, but who knows. That said, Gendustry makes the breeding process far less painful, so automation on the scale you're describing is now more a 'for fun' build, rather than a necessity, imo.

I've seen his bee breeding, and honestly got a little lost. With Gendestry it makes things go much faster. I guess I really want something I can set up, and press the start button, walk away and later, find things all done haha. I guess I'll have to look at the bees as tiers, and maybe run them tier by tier until im at the top tier

I believe that is kind of how direwolf did it.

each species that was needed got a certain value with the highest being the one you needed. Then when a bee died of it got analyzed and the values of the species got added together(both inactive and active gen) then the bees that had the highest numbers got send to the apiary.

My rough idea is that there are essentially tiers to bees, like tier 1 has forest and Meadows and common, as shown in this link http://m.ftbwiki.org/Bee_Species
So if you put the right bees in an apiary they will produce a certain breed. So you analyze what you get and when you finally get it you through that one back in an apiary and wait for the next bee you need and mix those two together. Say you start one apiary with Meadows and forest. Keep that machine going until you have common bees. Then you through that common bee in with a forest to eventually get a cultivated.
