Bound Armor not working?

So i've spent days working towards this bound armor and i have one sigil on each piece and one master blood orb on each and one weak blood shard on each and for some reason when i take damage It takes food away from me like really fast... And i've tried re making it in creative and it does the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix my armor?
 
I've even tried to infuse it with xp by sitting at my mob spawner still nothing so far and its almost at 2k infused xp
