What version of RoC are you using? Is it recent?

You don't need a chunkloader. Nothing should really be stopping the boring machine at that level of power except special shielding blocks Reika made (I forget what they're called)

ah @ the moment version rotarycraft-V6f is installed. i think its the newest version right ?

That's current. I really just wanted to ensure you're not running whatever is in the Monster pack by default before I summoned @Reika. That would just piss him off :)

May I ask what modpack you're running?
Does it happen regardless of the direction you bore in?
Have you tried it at different elevations?

My thought is that there's some strange block (equivalent to overworld bedrock) which the borer doesn't know how to handle.

mhhmodpack ist project sunrise unlimited.

i think the pipes just encounterd dirt :D

but i try a new game with just the RoC mod to ensure no other mod make problems

Good idea :)

Reika will have a much better idea and he's extremely active on this forum. Maybe he implemented a configurable max range on the boring machine I'm not aware of.

What did you hit? I suspect something unbreakable, or at least requiring more torque or power than what you are supplying.

There is a distance limit, but it is something like 30 million blocks, and only there because chunk gen fails much beyond that.
