It now has turbines, which run off of steam and can produce 200-6000 RF/T, depending on it's size. Maybe even more. Currently I have one connected to a Railcraft steam boiler and producing 5 times more power then 18 steam dynamose. However, it is more expensive then a big reactor. Thoughts?

not a thought, but rather a spotlight ;)

so... my thought? I love Big Reactors and it's simplicity, and I can only hope it stays with simplicity.
and these turbines fit perfectly with the rest of BR, so for me... +1

I learned how to use them from Ako myself. Can't wait to see what else is added in the future.

Using a railcraft boiler to power the turbines seems, I hate to say this, boring. From looking through the spreadsheet Saice compiled there's just more fun in using the whole mod or something completely different from a boiler to run the turbine.

I do enjoy that Metallurgy metals are compatible with the turbines.

I...haven't even touched BigReactors yet. *shame*

Not really my fault; I'm still hung up on building my first reactorcraft fission reactor, nevermind the tokamak.

Oh I plan on using the reactors to produce the steam. I'm just doing it for now while I setup the reactor since the boiler was already up.

IIRC Using TE3 gellified cryotherium is a great choice for a "active" reactor, making a sizable amount of steam.
