Big Reactor Issue

Hey guys!

I have recently started playing about with Big Reactors and after a few crappy 3*3 internal big reactors I have managed to make the following: http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design...X2EX3CX2EXCXCX2EX3CX2E5X8E&modpack=direwolf20

I have managed to hook it up too one turbine which is producing more power than I need right now which is great as I can upgrade my ender quarry and spawn blazes etc. However on the simulator it says the heating should be around 165.33C, mine is hoovering around 1500-1550! Everything else seems similar such as the yellorium usage, is this just a bug with the simulator or am I doing something really wrong?

I am using FTB Infinity.

First that simulator is for power not for steam. So you cooling is different. But you should be able to bring the temp down by inserting the control rods. Keep an eye on the steam generation. You don't need much steam for a single turbine. So keep an eye on it and once you see the steam production dip bring the control rods out a couple of notches. That should lower your fuel consumption and the temperature.

Thanks! I already have the rods at 94% as my turbine needs 2k MB/S but still the heat is high, does the actively cooled check button on the simulator not mean for the purpose of turbines?

Oh... I missed that you are correct. I didn't even see the check for actively cooled.

The simulator is seeming really dodgey.

Do you have enough water in your cooling loop?

Also, should be closer to 95% for insertion.
