Best Nether Portal Spawn I've ever had

I create the nether portal in my lets play on youtube and was lucky enough to get this spawn

Well I had one in a nether fortress

But with all those mods traveling in the nether is such easy, you'll find a fortress pretty quick anyways (atleast I do)

My current world spawned my portal inside a fortress, 3 blocks from a chest with diamonds and down the hall from a blaze spawner and netherwart.

I've had better, specifically when it spawned on one block in the middle of the "air" above a huge lava lake.

my best was less than 100 from a fortress.
never got put over a lava ocean so far.

I have spawned over lava before, but the world generator put a 10x10 cobblestone area around the portal.
