So I've been tinkering with a sapling's stats with Gendustry on a test world, to see if I can make an all-purpose tree for fruit juice and fermenting; so I made this:
Blue Mahone
Saplings: Highest
Matures: Fastest
Height: Small
Girth: 1x1
Yield: Highest
Sappiness: Highest
Fruit: Apple
I noticed that putting this sapling in a Fermenter (with Fruit Juice and Mulch) generates 1,150mb, compared to the un-altered Blue Mahone generating 2,250mb. Forcing the sapling back to Sappiness: High cuts the generation down to 250mb.
I'm wondering if there's a bug in Gendustry's application of tree stats, or if this is a soft nerf to encourage proper breeding?
