BC filler as a mining tool.

I just watched etho's latest LP and was surprised the filler was dropping the blocks it was clearing. Didn't Spacetoad change the filler to destroy blocks it was clearing to prevent people from exploiting it and also help server performance months ago?

I dont see how the filler is OP. Its a bit cheaper then the quarry but seems to require the same amount of power and you HAVE to set its border as well as pick the items it drops up instead of them just shooting out the top of the filler. I think that makes up for it being a bit cheaper. Though it might not be "just a bit" with gregtech on hardmode. I keep it on the non-retardedly complicated and hard mode.

The change to the filler makes it basically useless for carving out caves since far too much goods are goint to waste the way its set up now, i suggest it gets 2 modes, 1 for deleting blocks as it does now and 1 for working as it did earlier, which makes it useful for carving large caves (not all of us love huge holes in the ground =)

that wont happen filler is FAR from useless in the time it saves me clearing out an area i could have gone mineing and got x2 the ores then the filler destroyed if you want the ores just mine it by hand

Most of my building is done underground. I prefer subtractive building instead of additive building.

I like to make a fair number of rooms between bedrock and lvl 20. When I dig out a 40x40x10 room down at lvl 10 doing it by hand takes forever. The filler was the perfect tool for doing this WITHOUT losing all of the valuable ores that will be dug up.
I personally never used it as a "quarry". I always used it to either dig out rooms underground or to level the floor level of rooms that aren't level, occasionally putting up walls or at the least closing off caves that intersect rooms that I have dug out.

The filler is now useless to me outside of leveling floor.
I am simply looking to find a CC program that will replace the filler. It isn't a matter of saving time or using it as a cheep quarry. If I want massive amounts of resources I will run a quarry. I will not waste ANY resource, ever.
