So here lately my inspiration is lacking, so I've come to you all. What are the most intriquet(sp?) parts of your bases. The parts that took the longest to build/setup/get-just-right?

I don't mean that awesome lever above a wooden door you have, but the rooms/contraptions/parts that once finished you were PROUD of yourself.

My underwater farm area.

Yeah .... just yeah... Mostly because I was experimenting with Red power at the time. I used a filler to make a 64x64x10 glass box then used a set of RP pumps to pump out the water.

It took something like two days to pull all the water out and it taxed my thermopile to the point I head to triple its size.

My currently project is dwarfing that though.

Out side of them two the one I miss is my undersea base from vanilla. Built from resources collected from 1MC day top side I then spent months underwater building a full self sustaining base. It was a lot of fun.

I really liked implementing my fully automated IC2 mining platform that sends status updates back to base, though about half of that was simply CC code. ATM I am working on getting a self-assembling elevator to take me from my undersea base up to a skyship, which is being quite a bit more work than I expected it to. I think I have all the hurdles overcome at this point though.... hopefully.

I guess I'll chip into my own topic. I have a sorting & storage room, that I haven't really seen elsewhere. My goal was to never have to create another chest, or more so, go hunting for the correct chest.

So now I have a storage room setup with barrels. That's not original but this is: If a barrel is filled, it's pushed back(via pistons), another is created and placed in the previous barrel's spot to begin filling. Unless it's a newly created barrel or there isn't another barrel behind it, if a barrel becomes empty it is destroyed and a previous filled barrel is pushed into it's spot.[DOUBLEPOST=1360270030][/DOUBLEPOST]
why not just read one of the countless other IDENTICLE threads for inspiration?
Why not contribute instead of complain?
