Automize Jetfuel to run Extractor for Ore processing worth it?

Hi,

since 1 week I¨m getting everything done to automize jete fuel.
Setup would be a bunch of spawners and ethanol production(sugar farm, Treefarm)
and the rest of the materials I would get through the tome of Alkahest.
So far so good.
All the mats can easilie turned into jet fuel with some fractional Units reciving power from a magnatostic engine.

Plan is to make 8x Jet turbines run a extractor to process all my ores from my MFR lasers and maybe later some boringmachines.

But I¨m not sure if this is realy goingto work. The turbines are realy fuel hungry and 1 stack of all items just gave me 337 buckets of jet fuel. Now I can´t find how much jetfuel is in time but making some quick tests it seems that 24 buckets worh more or less 15 minutes.

so I would need to get a full stack of materials just to keep up the production for 1 extractor.

Sure I won´t need a so fast extractor for some drills, but if later I have some boring machines I will need it.
How do you guys handel this in your bases? The extractor bonus is just too nice to not using it.
 
Highest tier Magnetostatic feeding into a high ratio gearbox, feeding into a CVT unit. This is assuming you have enough RF to handle it.
 
again forgot to say I¨m plating Monster 1.1.1 and as far as I can see there are no upgrades for Magetostatic engines in it... is it?

rf is no problem since MFR Drill+ Big reactor is kinda op ;)

Ah, not yet. It got added in a later version.
 
So again I should look into update it.
is there anything to take in mind?
I got told in a other thread that there will be ID conflicts and I realy have no Idea how all this ID stuff work and what I can crash.
 
If you update all of Reika's mods, you'll have to fix an ID problem with ReactorCraft (real simple, just bump an ID up two spots IIRC), and there will be potion ID conflicts with Random Things. Going into the configs for both ReactorCraft and RotaryCraft (since I can't remember which one has the conflicts) and moving the IDs up to the 37+ range will work without an issue. v23 I did get an ID conflict with ElectriCraft and another mod, which was fixed by shifting two IDs up a little bit.
 
hm I will give it a shot in singelplayer. Any link here to learn about ID¨s and how they work?
I never ever put my hands on some config. well I set some true to false or the other way around but thats not the same I think.

As far as I see for Monster 1.1.1 and Geostrata disabled, I would have to upgrade:

Electricraft
Dye Trees

all of them just download from Reika´s Homepage or better from a other FTB Pack thats up to date?

After this just overwrite the folder with the old one and enter my world. Now I have to write down ID conflicts and look up how to fix them.

Right?

hm now i updated them and when I start Minecraft, it begin to load and then just close before I get to the mainmenu....

ok I expected to get the ID problem once I ender the World, not by starting it. Found the crashlog.
Lets see how to fix the ID stuff....

why do you put the CVT Unit in there? Highest Magetostatic gets me 67MW Power so with a 16:1 speed mode gearbox I get the 512 Torque I need and the rest speed.
Why the CVT? or are you clocking it?

That's actually how I saw Reika doing it in his latest world tour. Makes it nearly instant processing with the high ratio gearbox and CVT unit.

67MW power can´t give 512 Torque and enough speed to be that fast.
whats exactly your CVT Unit setup?
If I put a 16:1 gearbox in speedmode I already hit the 512 torque. So if the CVT takes more torque to speed it won´t be able to work.

edit: Ok found the video and notices that a High-ratio Gear is a seperated block and you are not refering to a 16:1 gearbox ;)

Yeah, the high ratio gear is (IIRC) 256:1. So it helps quite a bit.
 
Hmmm, I¨m at work now so I can´t tinker around with it, but if I understand everything right, what this will do is:

1. Get 67MW from the Engine. (T5 Upgrade is the highest one since Engine comes in T1 so T1+T2+T3+T4+T5 = T6?)
2. High ratio gear converting it all to speed
3. CVT Unit with redstone clock does convert every cycle the speed into torque for step 2-3 (IIRC that are the ones with torque)

theory approved?

I think that sounds right. If it isn't fast enough, switch the gearbox to torque mode and compare the two to see which is faster.

Got it working now :) I din´t use the high Ratio Gear since it needs lubricant, insteed I used 2x16:1 Gearboxes and The CVT.
And with a T5 Engine it just needs 6k RF/T to run fast enough to keep up with my drills.
