im looking for a way to set up my mass fab so that it will only run if it received scrap from my recycler i have tried gates but they seem to be bugged and dont work with the mass fab, anyone have any ideas on how i can set it up?

I haven't tried gates on mass fabricator, but how is it bugged?

Keep in mind, the scrap goes in the bottom, so the gate should be on the bottom of the machine.

if the gate is on the bottem, even if set to"if no amp emit redstone" it emits redstone signal whether there is scrap in the slot or not.

Scrap and Amplifier are not the same thing. When a redstone signal is applied, the Mass Fabricator will not convert Scrap to Amplifier. The 'No Amplifer' setting on gates measures the Amplifier number on the UI. With a constant supply of scrap it will use new scrap without issue, but once it runs entirely out it won't start back up again.

ic i thought they were the same thing, thank you sir. instead of needing a new design i can just use the one i was going to use =)
