Assembly Table not Working

Hello!
I have been trying for awhile now and I cannot seem to get my assembly table to work for the life of me
I have a couple lasers, fully powered, and my assembly table is three blocks away... but the lasers won't power it.

if anyone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated

The lasers don't give power to the assembly table unless it needs to craft something
