Ars magica 2 for 1.10.2 spell cration not working

I created my own mod pack and even have tried it on mod packs that others have made but when I make an altar just like the book says, it will not take any ingrediants. am I doing something worng, please help me? I love this mod and really want to play it. did something change in 1.10.2 that 1.7?

The lectern placement threw me off too. If I recall, previous versions you just had to place it beside one of the pillars, but now you have to place it so that the back of the lectern is against the pillar.

Ya I just trued moving the lecturn when icountfrom0 made his response and it worked.

Yup, quite a bit in the mod changed. Mana generation is one of them.

Humor me, post a screenshot of your altar, if you would? One of the fiddly little stairs might be slightly off, or one of the blocks that gets hidden might be backwards or something.

I moved around the lecturn to try and see if that worked because what u said made me guess that I placed it wrong. And now it works. Thank you
