Hey everyone, just had a quick question - I need to refill a giant hole in the ocean where I've built an underwater base, but I'm playing FTB Unleased (MC Version 1.5.2) and I don't see grates or flood gates to use with aqueous accumulators to dispense water from the machines into the environment. Is there another method I'm overlooking?

Thanks!

I *think* you could use turtles, but for the 1.5 version that's about it. There was something in redpower, but that's 1.4 news.

Edit: I recall someone saying something about that thing from redpower being in the 1.6 version of buildcraft. Idk for sure though...

You basically want to get a lot of water source blocks into a hole?

I can't think of anything more than a bucket and a whole lot of clicking :(

Just put a layer of dirt then a layer or two of water on top of that. It will look good enough and will save you a lot of time. :)

This, place a layer of some block 1 block below sealevel. Then fill the layer with water from a bucket/Chalice. If you fill in the water in lines of 90 degrees it will fill itself in. When done remove the blocks and water will fill in(well it wont create sourceblocks under the surface, but you wont be able to tell the difference.

i wonder, can you wand of equal trade with water source blocks from UU matter?

it would be awesome if you could, but I don't see any way of "programming" the wand to place the waterblocks. You cant shift+click waterblocks. Neither can you place waterblocks with the Shovel of the earthmover.

I think project red has Elo's pump working in 1.5

Best in-game solution:
Build a 1 block think dirt platform 1 block below the surface (dirt at y62, sea level y63 I think) over the area affected, and into the surrounding water.
The water should then spread over the top- giving a smooth surface. Then just remove the dirt.
(MFFS would also work)

Could you use ice blocks? Fill it in with those and break them and they should propagate the source blocks. Otherwise if you dont care whether the blocks under the surface are source blocks you could do the trick mentioned by rhn above.

That's actually a good idea. Should be able to place/replace blocks with ice with shovel of the earthmover/wand of equal exchange. But next question would be where to get hold of that many iceblocks? :P

Thermal Expansion to the rescue with it's Glacial Precipitator!

Or Watery bees actually. Hmm would be doable I guess with enough work, but probably still faster just to fill it in manually :P

Wand of Equal trade again? fill your inventory with cobble and start equal trade clicking away on a twilight forest glacier. Since it works with stone I assume you'd get ice blocks instead of water blocks.
