Apple Orchard Not Dropping Apples

So I have made an orchard with the Forestry mod and I have planted Oak Trees, I have water supplied along with fertilizer and power, it has been an hour since the trees have been grown and nothing,no apples, or usage of fertilizer. Please help as this is needed for my power source.

You'll actually want the basic wood farm with oaks. It'll chop the wood down and collect the apple drops. Additionally, if you scan the trees first with a treealyzer you'll get Apple Oaks, which have a higher apple drop rate.

Orchards are for things like cherry trees that actually have the leaves change when the fruit matures, from what I understand.

The basic oak trees are for use in an orboretum not the orchard. Orchard farms are for cherry, walnut, lemon etc.
