App wont go past FTB logo

I installed the most recent version of the app. after launching it stays at the logo and wont progress further. I've left it alone for 10 minutes and it still is at the logo. The classic launcher works just fine but I need to use the new app launcher in order to host a server for my friends. Please help

Having the same problem. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Overwolf, no dice.

yeah same. I finally got tired of waiting for someone on the forms to answer so I took it to the discord. So far no luck

Using forums = patience

Asking for help and not including anything to actually look at, screenshots, links to logs (using https://paste.feed-the-beast.com or the link provided from the launcher) - makes it hard for anyone to try and help you out.

Have same issue, Logs from

(This is why js based "native" clients are evil)

Edit: Simple reinstall resolved it, but it's pretty annoying that something going wrong can essentially soft-brick the client.

The first post was made at the beginning of December. With zero integrations. This is the second post made 10 days later. The discord asked for logs which I cannot access because all I get is the fucking logo. After that silence and I got lost in the feed. Id love to give anyone more information but all I get is a logo screen.

The first post was made at the beginning of December.

You made the first post the 15th of December, that's not the beginning of the month.
(if you posted more than one post about the same thing, that's really not a good idea).

Swearing and bad attitude will not make people want to help you out + you still still haven't got any logs that you shared.

Have you checked the folders for logs?

Have you checked event viewer (logs for the OS)?

If you got a 3rd party Antivirus, make sure to make exceptions/whitelist/exclusion (disable will not work - and Windows Defender is not a 3rd party one, so if that's the case -just leave it as it is.)

When above is sorted, or if you don't have a 3rd party Antivirus - uninstall the app, restart your machine and try to install it again.

hey look at that finally someone telling me that logs can be seen in folders and not just in a command window, some nugget of information that I can use to get the information someone else needs to help. AAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYWAY


this is all that is in the main log notepad document. The folder labeled logs is empty. My OS logs don't mention overwolf, FTB, minecraft or any other related thing. A few errors and warnings for other programs but eh my antivirus has been whitelisted for the FTB app.

I've already uninstalled and restarted and installed twice now.

as to "you made the first post the 15th of December" I think you'll appreciate the added screen cap. 10 days went by with no response or anything so why shouldn't I add a new thread or repost the same issue. It got someone to finally help me, otherwise I might still be waiting for anyone to reach out.

A bad attitude is not what I have. Its an annoyed attitude that I'm wasting money on a server host and I can't even use the new app when the legacy launcher has always worked great. It is annoyance at the situation that It takes literally more than a week before I hear anything from anybody and that the first helpful comment is a snippy comment telling me that forms require patience. Trust me I wanna help you so you can help me so I can finally use this fucking app.

Loading any packs is still a major issue, No Logs are being created, because it gets stuck on the first mod it tries to load from any pack, and Just Hangs, I verified that my Exception Rules were accurate, updating accordingly, simply because it seems like who ever put them into the native packs thinks that Xms and XMX are the same thing, when they are not. This is all it shows from now till I finally get tired of looking at it 2 hours later, and force crash it through Task Manager

Frankly, the new launcher is total garbage, and forcing players to go through ONLY the FTB Launcher shows a certain lack of professionalism in recognizing that your launcher is total garbage

I'm going to lock this thread - it's just bad attitude and being rude.

@kevyn - if you sincerely want help, create a new post - behave and share logs (I know that you did that now) + give information about what steps you took.

@AlthosSilver - create your own thread and provide logs, screenshots like this doesn't help at all, there's no data to actually troubleshoot from.

Support here is community based - so barking and being annoyed is just screaming and yelling at your fellow players.
