Any fix for Binnie extra trees crash when creating stairs with wood ???

Just started messing around with tree breading, now I just created a bunch of orchard apple wood stairs but the game crashed when I created them, since they are in my inventory, whenever I try to login again, I crashed, so I used NBTExplorer to remove them from my inventory, but that's not a permanent solution, I want theses stairs, they look so awesome...

I have FTB Direwolf20 1.5 V2 1.1.3 edition, I'm not sure if this problem is fixed in build 1.1.6, I would love to avoid updating since I know a lot of bugs and crash will happen with the new version...

The fix is indeed updating, as you are playing with a version that's probably six months old by now. You don't need to update the whole modpack, though, you can also manually update Binnie's Mods alone. Look into the changelogs of the mod and see if a fix for the problem is mentioned. And then see if the version it was fixed in is still available for Minecraft 1.5.2. After all, most mods have been on 1.6 since the end of summer.

The problem is I don't see any relevant fix in binnie mod changelog, maybe its fixed but its not 100% clear, I know I use an outdated version of the Direwolf20 pack 1.5.2 v1.1.3, but its still the recommended build, I was hoping most of the bugs are supposed to be fixed in a recommended build... I'll have to do some extensive testing to see, not sure if cheated items have the same value with the way forestry usually work, I may have no problems with the cheated items but the genuine ones would still crash the game, I'll report back, if someone knows if this particular problem is fixed in the latest version of the pack, please let me know, I have 2 other players to convince to update before I can update the server...

I tested with an updated version Direwolf20 pack v1.1.6 (the latest available) and now the stairs work, but once they are put in the world, they are mostly the same color of one of them, not sure which one, so, it fix the problem but not like it should have been, now all the nice cool colored stairs are the same for most of them at least now with this update the Natura wood is able to do the stairs too...
