So we have all this stuff with build craft and IC2. They seem to me a bit of "if we stick in those it'll be amazing and we can chuck normal overused mods in the sides. I don't mean that of course, I just mean the large number of mods with IC2 and Buildcraft makes them seem so... bland with such a large range.
I have an idea for a modpack. What if:
There was a modpack for the environment. Like natural disasters, weather, ecology, planting, breeding (improved), solar panels and stuff, pollution etc. That could create a pretty awesome modpack if you ask me.

I've always thought all the tech mods should have a pollution side effect (toggleable in configs). Even something like Flux in TC3, where a chunk stores a pollution value, at different levels, crops die, grass turns to dirt, leaves on trees die, etc, etc.
So, running a mass of coal generators next to your farm wouldn't be a good idea.
Then there could be even more tech items for dealing with the pollution in an area.

Cool! I got another idea too Nuclear Reactors would emits certain amounts and types of radiations, the more fuel and the more powerful the fuel is the more radiation and the more dangerous it is. The effects can ranges from minor damage to instant death and gross environment so the grass would turns into nasty green dirt and the cobble too. There could be environmentally friendly upgraded reactors to emits less and even none. The highest tier would be able to converts all the hazardous Reactor heat into passive EU generation! Then people would actually uses them since it's would possible to 100% heat free reactors no matter how much and type of fuel and gets a little extra EU out of the massive heat being generated while your's at it.

That is a great idea. Really reminds me of my Simcity 2000 building days. The residents never did like that nuclear reactor right near by.........

You mention IC2 and BC... but not RP2? RP2 is a staple in any technological modpack because it's so goddamn amazing!
