Hi guys, so I've got two odd issues with my Alveary automation using AE.
  1. Over the past week or so I've lost 4 princesses randomly, just poof. despite all the alvearies running fine.
  2. My princesses have suddenly started losing some/all of their traits, despite them being both active and inactive when they were insert, and the drones had matching traits..
It's *possible* they were stolen by someone, but I'd like to eliminate other issues if possible first.
I'm using a fuzzy export bus to push the princesses out to the alvearies, and a normal input bus
any solutions/suggestions would be very helpful!

You might want to try using the precision export bus. Your princesses might have been replaced by another one do to the fact that fuzzy buses just look for something with the same item id just with a different damage value.

unfortunately that wont work, since the princesses value changes each time due to the generation count

AE has special bee code that makes precision export buses work quite well. I haven't used them myself because I don't like using AE for most things especially if it involves setting up a new network (although I am warming to the idea of an AE subnetwork for bee storage) I always use old fashioned pipes for bees. However, I have seen Direwolf20 use them a lot with no issues as far as I can tell. I think that precision export bus will match all traits (except the generation counter and other variable ones) while fuzzy will only match species.

I havent played an FTB pack ina while but does the version of forestry have the ignoble and pristine versions of bees in it, if so ignoble bees have a chance to not produce princesses.

Oh really? I didn't know that
