Adept Wand

I made a post in the bug thread but has anyone else had a hard time getting an adept wand? I had the right amount of aspect and everything seemed to be fine but the moment I try to pick up the wand from the altar it vanishes. The aspects are still greyed out but I have the mats still. This is on a SMP server with Direwolf 20's 5.1.0.

I bet somebody was watching you put the recipe together.

Thaumcraft needs to pay extra attention to who gets to pull a recipe out of crafting, because people who do not have the research can still see you put the recipe together in the infusion altar. And sometimes, when you and one or more other people keep closing and opening the interface several times, Thaumcraft gets confused and when you try to pull out the recipe it doesn't let you.

The fix is simple: close the interface and open it again. If necessary, shoo away all other people.

I was all alone. Server is only my friend, his wife and me. I also tried to clear the caludron, move the alter, even change around wands, nada.

Sounds sort of like a config mis-match. Not sure if there's anything for TC relating to the wands recipe. Check your configs against the servers.

I also wonder if maybe the server doesn't think you have that research completed.

Maybe. I will ask my friend to check his configs and I will check mine. I believe the server knows I completed my research as it is allowing me to research golemmancy

Do you have the crystals in the right slots? It's not random, the crystals have to be in the same place as in the recipe.

*nod* Yes I do. Air to the North, Earth to the South, Water to the West and Fire to the East. The wand has shown up for a fraction of a second then the moment I cllick on it to retrieve it vanishes. The aspects got used twice but not the other mats. After that no matter how much of the aspect I used it wouldn't be confirmed by the alter.
