I think there's going to be quite a number of us adding GregTech manually, in the absence of an official FTB pack with GregTech. I know that there is a third-party modpack, InfiTech, which is built around GregTech, but it's missing many mods from the Direwolf20 pack. The aim for most people reading this thread would tend to be to create their own ghetto "ultimate" pack, which is a different purpose to InfiTech.

As of writing this post, the latest Direwolf20 pack version is 1.0.2 and the latest GregTech mod version is 5.06.05.

After installing GregTech, the first problem I had was a crash on startup with a reference in the crash log to AppleCore:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: squeek/applecore/api/food/FoodValues

So I went ahead and installed AppleCore mod, which fixed this. I don't know if this has been documented somewhere, but it would seem GregTech now has a dependency on AppleCore.

If you are adding GregTech to your Direwolf20 MC 1.7.10, let us share our experiences such that we may all benefit.

Some questions for which the answers would be very useful:

1) What errors or incompatibilities have you found?

2) What changes have you made in config or Minetweaker/Modtweaker?

(As an aside, in a version prior to MC 1.7, adding GregTech to an FTB pack resulted in berry bushes dropping energy flow circuits, the hilarity (and game-breaking nature) of which is the kind of problem we're seeking to identify with this thread.)

I too received this error:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: squeek/applecore/api/food/FoodValues

But a few lines down I found this:

at ganymedes01.aobd.ore.OreFinder.getColour(OreFinder.java:126)

So, I removed the AOBD mod (Another one Bites the Dust) and now it works fine. Alternatively, I reinstalled AOBD and installed AppleCore, and that also solved the problem.
