A few hours ago I noticed in the log of my ftb world it kept spamming that the save was being accessed from another location and it was aborting. This happened in an earlier world and I thought the world was corrupt, because it didn't save anything I did, just my inventory. I did a test by pillaring up with blocks and relogging. Sure enough, the blocks vanished, from the world and my inventory. I'm running monster 1.1.2. I hope someone has a solution. Thanks

In order, id guess as to the following causes:
You accidentally launched minecraft twice?
A previous instance of java is stuck in memory?
You were using a tool like MCEdit while running minecraft.
You have logged onto a windows PC with a different account and the access rights are such that the files are read only to the current user.
Some fool changed the files to read only.

Didn't launch mc twice
How do I see if a previous instance of java is in he memory?
I wasn't using mcedit
The PC wasn't logged out and logged back in with a different account.

For the previous instance of MC, check taskmanager and make sure there is only one javaw.exe process running. Also, have you tried disabling your antivirus while playing?

Other times while playing and having an antivirus program running it was fine...
And I'll check and see if there is one javaw.exe open.
While my world is currently unplayable I tried crash landing and it's so fun just saying:p

In the task manager, there are 2 javaw's when I have mc open. The one that uses more is ftb. I right clicked the other one and clicked open file location and it brought me to a folder.
Program files--> java --> jre7 --> bin
That was at the top of the folder

If this is still happening, then, frankly, its probably a file corruption - probably in one of the .\saves\world\region\*.mca files. Or youve just run out of space on your temp and/or save drive. Open the .mca files in a zip manager to verify them, or delete them (along with all changes to your world) and try again. Perhaps you can isolate a single file in the save to delete.

Each mca file saves a 512x512 area of the world. Deleting it will cause that area to regenerate. Depending on if this covers your base or not this might be the lesser evil.

So what if I went out 512 blocks in the game and then exited and deleted the file? Would it regenerate only the blocks around me? Also, I've seen a thread saying to make a temporary world, take the level.dat from that world and delete the one in the original and paste the one from the temp world. Will that work? He did leave a disclaimer saying that you inventory will be lost. Is there any way to save the inventory? I've also seen that you can save though mcedit..?
