A Thaumcraft 3 issue

Now I don't believe this to be a bug, as I'm sure I'm just being thick, but what is causing me to not be able to make an Infernal furnace, I lay the blocks out as per my reasearch suggests and I right click on it with a wand of the adept but nothing happens? I have researched it, and I have built it how I've seen other people build it, any ideas? I can post screen shots if you think it will help

Wand of the adept, I think thats what its called the one that stores 150 vis. Screen shots to follow

That looks right at that angle. Without seeing some other details, I really can't tell you what's wrong. You didn't use any slabs in its construction, did you?

Yeah, no I know I've built it right it just wont turn into the actual furnace =/ I Just wonder if there is any reason

What's the bottom center block? Did you place Obsidian or Netherbrick?

The bottom goes like this looking from the top

So, yeah the middle bottom block is Obsidian

I have the same problem. I am using Direwolf20. I researched the furnace, built the furnace according to the diagram and then clicked using a fully charged Wand of the Adept. Nothing. I'd really like for it to work. It sounds neat.

Just to be sure, the top center block is open right? The first time I went to make one of those I accidently closed it off so it wouldn't work right :X

Center block is open. The first time I made it I put the lava in the center top block. Then I realized my mistake and moved it to the center middle. Still didn't work. I even tore it down and rebuilt it. Nothing.

Ok, now this might sound a bit silly, but are you sure you're not using netherbrick slabs? I know that, from creative at least, the netherbrick double slabs show up first in NEI and they look like normal netherbrick.

Netherbrick slabs. Yup. I spawned them in creative as i was in a hurry and wanted to play with it. That's it! Thanks!

Np, I tried it out in creative (have it in normal, but didn't feel like building it cause I need wind shards for my wand : /) and that was the issue I was running into, so don't worry, I only mentioned it cause it happened to me too

This reminded me of the whole trying to create a Twilight portal with an industrial diamond back in 1.2.5 after they got ported to being normal diamonds. It had the same name, but a different item id for some reason so they wouldn't work :X

Yep, I did this too! Wanted it to work, and I moused over the block yelling, "WHY WON'T YOU WORK!" The real question here is why do the double slabs appear first?

All of the double slabs share a block id, they just have different damage values. It's designed that way so you the mod only added one block, rather than 15.
