Hi I'm planning to do a let's play series using the monster pack along with a bunch of other mods added in and I'd like to know if I need to get the permission of/inform the mod creators? of the mods that I've added in before I start recording? (I apologies if this isn't the correct place to put this I'm not sure were to put it if its in the wrong section could someone tell me or move it if you happen to be a moderator/admin)

Using the mods for a private pack is perfectly fine. It's when you start distributing it that you run into the rocky territory of permissions and licences.
So if only you use the pack- no. You don't need to ask. If you share the pack with others, then you need to read each mod's Permissions, and ask permissions when necessary.
Also, yes, wrong section. I'd say Third Party Mod Packs would be the right section
