I've been developing a private modpack for some time now, and have hit the first roadblock I couldn't get over.

I'm trying to give my pack a "progression" theme of sorts, so I have Metallurgy/Tinkers' Construct/ExtraTiC/Iguana Tweaks and more installed, as well as a few dimension mods. The idea was to progress through each dimension to have access to better tools and materials.

So I planned what ore generation I needed to alter, assuming the CoFH configs could handle the few changes I needed, but I think I'm in over my head in this department.

The spoiler below houses everything I couldn't do.

Move Ore Generation:
Metallurgy Platinum > Erebus
Tinkers’ Cobalt > Atum
Big Reactors Yellorite > Atum
Project Red Ruby > Atum
Project Red Sapphire > Atum
Project Red Peridot > Atum
Metallurgy Rubracium > Atum
Metallurgy Kalendrite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Adamantine > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Atlarus > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Vulcanite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Sanguinite > The End

Disable Ore Generation:
Thermal Foundation: All BUT Ferrous
Biomes O’ Plenty Gems: ALL
Erebus Aluminum

Does anybody know of any other methods I could use? The Custom Ore Generation mod by JRoush didn't help much either.

tl;dr: I need a way to configure world-gen WITHOUT replacing it, if I can.

EDIT: Would like to avoid using CoFHcore to replace all generation, as Metallurgy adds loads of ores and I'll be at this for another few weeks.

Hey, this seems familiar.
Move Ore Generation:
Metallurgy Platinum > Erebus
Simply set the dimension whitelist to whatever the ID of the Erebus is (IIRC it's 66), and replace mentions of stone with Umberstone.
Tinkers’ Cobalt > Atum
Big Reactors Yellorite > Atum
Project Red Ruby > Atum
Project Red Sapphire > Atum
Project Red Peridot > Atum
Metallurgy Rubracium > Atum
See Erebus. Never used the mod, so if there's a special type of stone, do the same you did with Umberstone.
Metallurgy Kalendrite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Adamantine > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Atlarus > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Vulcanite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Sanguinite > The End
See Erebus, you won't need to replace the mentions of stone with anything for TF, but you will need to for the End.

For all of the above where you replace stone - it will look a little jarring at first, due to the difference in texture. I recommend using Resource Loader to load the custom textures.
Disable Ore Generation:
Thermal Foundation: All BUT Ferrous
Remove the entries for the ores in the config/cofh/world/ThermalFoundation-Ores.json
Biomes O’ Plenty Gems: ALL
I'd imagine there's a config option for it in the BOP configs.
Erebus Aluminum
Config option in the Erebus config.

Thank you very much for the reply! I guess it does look lik I'm ripping off your Phoenix Reborn modpack, eh? I just wanted to make these great dimensions be more than a novelty. Thanks for the Resource Loader suggestion. However, I'm just gonna overwrite the textures with a resource pack.

My main issue was skipping the "material" line, I feel like an idiot now.
Another question; Is it possible to make these changes with CoFHcore without replacing ALL ore generation? Metallurgy adds A LOT of ores. I haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

Yeah, so long as you don't disable the ores in the mod's configs, they won't be impacted.

Speaking of which, for these:
Metallurgy Platinum > Erebus
Tinkers’ Cobalt > Atum
Big Reactors Yellorite > Atum
Project Red Ruby > Atum
Project Red Sapphire > Atum
Project Red Peridot > Atum
Metallurgy Rubracium > Atum
Metallurgy Kalendrite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Adamantine > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Atlarus > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Vulcanite > Twilight Forest
Metallurgy Sanguinite > The End
You're going to want to disable them in their individual mod's config file. It shouldn't impact the other ores, but it makes sure they'll only be spawning in their new dimensions.

Given that, technically, one can disable the Metallurgy metal groups individually just by setting the dimension whitelist for it to nothing or -1...

In anycase, Atum uses Limestone or Sandstone, whatever it's called due to it being a harder form of normal sandstone. Just keep in mind that there's a bedrock-like version to keep people from cheating through the pyramid mazes.
