A random utilitarian mod, that adds blocks and items through necessity

V0.1:

Use this mod how you please, but before you do, you may want to know a bit about the mod.
The blocks depicted in the spoiler are:
Uberium Ore, Safety Block, Transparent Block, Drop Light.

Uberium Ore:
Drops Uberium which is used to make Uber Tools.
Can only be harvested using an Uberium Pickaxe (Uberium is craftable, but is VERY expensive - recipe will probably be made more expensive)

Safety Block:
Repels all non-player/drop entities (mobs/animals)
Brightness of a torch which indicates its range
Makes a nice zombie cannon

Transparent Block:
No textures
Great for the maniacal maze maker

Drop Light:
Brightness of glowstone
Affected by gravity
Great for lighting up ravines

Blocks not shown:
Secret blocks: (Stone, Cobblestone, Dirt, Sand, Gravel, Wood Planks)
Have the same name as their vanilla counterpart
Use vanilla textures (should update with texture packs)
Can be walked through
Sand and Gravel affected by gravity
Damage player via suffocation (this is to enforce it as a "door" more than a "fortification")


Tools:
Uber Blade - One shot the wither? Why not!
Uber tools - Wanna mine a block? Why not be as fast as creative mode!



I do not promise to add anything, or keep this mod up to date with the latest forge version. As this is basically a personal mod that others may want to use.

You're realeasing this under the GNU GPL but I can't find any source code. Your Github repository seems pretty much outdated.
It would be nice if you had a link somewhere in the description.

It's under the repository title of JordsElecsUtils.
This is the case right now while I am still testing stuff out, and it is still "beta" once I have actually added anything of any substance (i.e. some of the plans I have for the future) then I will add the source code to CurseForge, but while the mod is basically a "basic mod", nothing that almost every other mod in existance has, then it will just be for whoever asks/looks hard enough :p

I guess. TBH I think this mod goes with anything, but I am biased.
Right now the mod doesn't add too much, and what it does add is OP as hell, so right now I need to nerf it pretty heavily. BUT I guess it goes.
If you wanted it just for the building blocks, then yeah, add it for that. If you want it for the OP tools and armour, add if for that.

I was thinking the armor and the imbued tool/sword could be a good combo ;)

Yes, I missed v0.6. Why? BECAUSE SCREW 0.6, that's why!

Anyway, this update sorta starts my ideas to balance the mod :D
Also, v0.7 is the first time I added the code to Curseforge, so you guys can now see how lovely my naming conventions are... seriously,@Elec332 [sarcasm]loves them [/sarcasm]

I am thinking as of 0.8 I want to be doing this 100% solo, but I dunno yet. Elec helps me out a LOT, but I wanna learn to code at the same time :/

This mod is looking great!

Dang 2 beacons for the portal not to mention the two diamond blocks! Could you possibly add an "easier" way to get beacons/nether stars? I guess it's ok with mods that allow you to farm withers.. Maybe add a config option for an easier beacon recipe?

If you read the description of the image, you'd have seen they are just filler blocks ;)
*I will happily say that here, as I like you guys, but for people who can't read on the Curseforge page, they will suffer :3 - The corners can be left blank :p

JordsUtils 0.8 - The Cakey Breaky update... What does it add?

Well, as the name suggests, there's cake and some breaks... well let's start with what it breaks:
Botania and Blood Magic (will talk about both in a bit)
Tinkers' Construct - Although this is not fully implemented yet, it has been started, but is nowhere near finished.

And stuff was added:
Configs (feel free to ask what each config option does)
Ender pearl launcher (uses no ender pearls)
God sword

Now how did this update break Botania and Blood Magic?
Regen armour breaks Blood Magic (moreso than how Botania does) - The only way to "balance" this was that if Blood Magic is installed with JordsUtils is that you cannot wear both regen armour and the bloodletters pack at the same time (without blood magic, you make leggings, with blood magic you make a chest plate)

Botania cannot be broken by regen 3, so how does that get broken? Cake. LOTS AND LOTS OF CAKES! The God Sword will now make your Kekimauris the best generating flora option.
To make the God Sword only capable of placing UP TO 100 cakes (not infinite) change the "I am a monster" config, or disable it completely with the "I like making Vazkii happy" option.

May i suggest something?
Glowstone texture is based off cobblestone, recolored. Why not call the "Drop Light" "Glowgravel" or something like that and give it an altered gravel texture?

I have decided that GUIs are for losers, and ore doubling is always a good thing... So expect to see AT LEAST ore doubling (if not ore "smelting" too) in the next update :)
And because it will be terribly unbalanced, automation for it will be "difficult" (without other mods - but no pipes will be used)
