I've just released my modpack called Shattered so I thought I'd do a forum showing my progress. Disclaimer, I am in no way a builder!

First, after generating 4 worlds, I finally start somewhere that isn't over a void (small issue with my pack!).

Here's my playground:

Looks like I've got a good mix of biomes, plus a small supply of water immediately on hand. I'd rather find myself a small island to call home and make secure, but I have to work with what I've been given.
First priorities, water, food, shelter.

What's your pack about? I like the world gen, kinda reminds me of the floating stuff in Avatar.

It's survival mixed with tech mixed with Skylands, with a massive amount of recipe adjustments to make more use of all the new ores and machines you get. So resource X is no longer just purely used by mod Y, or crafting process A is only for B. You progress to big multiblocks first, which then unlock the single "magic" blocks. Your goal eventually is to explore outer space or inner digital space.

Building may take a little longer then expected!

My diary consists of...

"Must find sticks..."
"Need food"
"Arrrgh, it's dark!!! - hide"
"This wooden pickaxe is useless, can't even get cobblestone"
"Nooo! Silverfish. Arrrghh!"

The morning of day 2 ended up with me dying from starvation. I didn't mind, I was quite happy being insane at the time.

Night 2 not looking any better.... On a plus, I have sticks.... Now to find some flint to make some decent tools.

My amazing hidey hole first home. Two deaths so far. Now I finally have a flint pickaxe I'm able to get some good stuff from the piles of rubble and lootbags from mobs. Resource gathering stage now.

Been a while, but some more small progress. Not been able to play as much as I would have liked:

Building a coke oven and blast furnace are early game milestones, and my first bit of RF generation pretty much ate all my copper to produce.
Now to get some steel produced to get a crusher, and work on crops. After that, pretty things up a bit.
