1.6 Game Starts, but Worlds Don't

Got the new Horizons pack today. It runs well on my desktop and my wife's, but on her new Windows 8 laptop, it doesn't. She hosts a Horizons server just fine on it, too.

She gets crashes on every attempt to join a server or create a new world, even joining a server she is successfully hosting that other players are already on.

We went through the generic support page Ashzification has been linking. This crash is after a fresh FTB install on her most recent attempt to create a world.

Yes, I am getting the same problem as your wife is not sure on how to fix...

So we got it to work. We (not for the first time, mind you) deleted everything, reinstalled, and it works.

figtreepoke, I suggest doing the same, but try varying where you've placed files like the launcher and your install path.
