I have been trying to play with Direwolf20 1.6.4 modpack but whenever I click on launch, it does nothing for 40 seconds or something and then gives me the error :

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Now most of you are probably going to tell me to install 64bit Windows and Java and increase the RAM. I have 64bit Java and Windows, I know how to check it and I also don't have 32bit Java, 64 is all I have. I can only increase it up to 1.5GBs and it tells me to install Java 64bit to increase it, which I already have.
If you have any ideas or solutions, I would be happy to hear them. Thanks!

when the Java EXE crashes, not the Jar its running, most of the time its your graphics drivers where minecraft is concerned. a crash report would be more helpful though...

My graphic drivers were updated last Friday, 10.01.2014. I don't have a crash report, at least I don't think I do. If you could tell me where to look, maybe I could give you a crash report.
BTW it's good to see a fellow Portal player! <3

if you can find the crash report located at: <Your Install Location>\Direwolf20_1_6_4\minecraft\crash-reports
i will give you some cake*
you can find your install location in the settings tab of the launcher :)
*cake is a lie

alternatively, if you select the "show console" and "reopen launcher after exiting minecraft" check boxes then restart the launcher and launcher the game, when it crashes, you can click the "post to pastebin" button :)

Umm, sorry for not responding for a while but there's not a file called "crash-reports".

its not a file, its a folder. the crash report should be in it.
if there is no folder called crash-reports, then it means the game hasn't outright crashed
