1.0.2: Magnanimous Sword crashes server on attack

What is the bug:
Created the magnanimous sword and tried using it on an Enderman and the server crashed.

Can it be repeated:
yes, creating the sword and attacking a mob crashes the server.

Known Fix:
not using it on the server.

I have the exact same issue on version 1.2.0. .I want to know if this has a fix please!
