Thanks :) I've found once the ethereal bloom has cleaned an area, I break it and move it out again, basically expanding further out and out, creating more blooms as the radius gets wider. Once it's clean on the inside, the taint doesn't return, as the biome is changed from Tainted Land.

I've been breaking and moving ethereal blooms, no problem with taint returning, but keep an eye out tainted nodes, they will return the taint .

Oops yes, sorry, doesn't seem to have it by default, I added it myself, cause yeah, looking into the book for recipes was a pain :P

Thaumcraft recipes are in the Thaumonomicon. There is an add-on that tells you the recipes in NEI. ALso I do not know if they show if you havent researched it yet.
