I noticed this one as well (I needed shards for the Wrath Lamp). I looked at one of Direwolf20's vids and saw you now create a diamond block, place it in the world next to TNT, and then detonate the TNT. This will explode and create 18 diamond shards.

I'm thinking I'll stick to Monster 1.0.2, because I use the OpenBlocks tanks too much. Hopefully when the final release occurs OpenBlocks will be fixed...
