I just deleted the libraries folder in the FTB install directory... it redownloaded them and fixed the issue.

On second thought, it looks like RotartCraft is trying to enchant a number rather than a piece of armor. It got fixed in the latest update.

I have this issue too! I think the log says that RotaryCraft is trying to enchant the bedrock armor when it is not enchantable.

YAY! It seems I had a corrupted download of the libraries folder, which got fixed by deleting it.

The error is not from bouncycastle/jce, its from bouncycastle/crypto. I don't know where the libraries folder for ftb is but it could be caused by it not downloading or loading the bouncycastle jarfile. Also when I booted into windows it ran fine, so it caused by something in linux.

It works on windows vista... but windows vista is slow... is there anyone else with this error?

Uninstall Java 6.

I tried that before and it did not fix the problem. Also tried switching away from openjdk and it stopped letting me use the pastebin button on the launcher, although I did not go back to openjdk.

I have been having the exact same error symptoms since the implementation of the 1.6 packs, but not the same log. I think that the error is caused by libraries not being loaded, because the files are there. Not the same as java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError...

Is the server out of date? It seems like a discrepancy between server and client configs. I heard something about them implementing a master config... mabye that's causing the issue?

I had this problem a while ago. I think this happened because I had OpenJDK java installed and not Sun's java, because when I changed to sun java this error stopped happening. You need to download the 64bit linux java from here and uninstall the Software Center one.
