[1.7.10]GT-New-Horizons[Ultra Hard Gregified modpack via Minetweaker and Modtweaker][2,5K+ Quests]

This weekend I finally made my T4 rocket. (So much gelled toluene!) When I went to Io to grab the pattern for the T5 rocket, both of the dungeons I found ended in a room with a T5 chest, but no Evolved Ghast Boss (or any room sized like the previous boss rooms), so there's no way to open them...

    Suggest a Skyblock

I've been having quite a bit of fun with a mostly pure Botania Garden of Glass world; just the NEI type mods beyond that, nothing with blocks. It's interesting trying to figure out how to automate things without the normal transport solutions. Since it's a skyblock you can easily add new mods...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

The 1.8.9 mod BuildingBricks adds dirt slabs - including using them in worldgen! It's wonderful not having to bunny hop across the terrain. I ran into it in the Simply Magic 2 pack.

    Official FTB Pack Suggestions Thread

TerraFirmaCraft handles it quite well. There's various food groups (vegetable, fruit, protein, etc.), and if you don't eat enough from each of them your maximum health gets scaled down. Basically a bar for each that steadily decreases over time, and is increased when you eat something...

Share your progress on Infinity Evolved Expert Mode

Do yourself a favor and add two more - it will actually be more energy efficient (defined here as EU consumed to process 1 cobblestone) to bring it down to 1 tick per cycle. I found recyclers have a number of weird breakpoints when I checked recently. 1 overclocker is more efficient than 0...

    TiC Crossbow number crunching

By midgame, "wasting lapis" makes as much sense as "wasting atmospheric nitrogen". Given how long it takes for it to get all the way to 450 from 1, you might as well get it all the way there rather than wasting drops.

    [Infinity] Removing Headcrumbs

Hats and Hatstand can definitely be dropped.

Gather Golem likes to hold items? (Inifnity 2.3.5)

Don't get too attached to using them there - they're hurt by the Well of Suffering ritual, so if you want to start using that you'll need to find some other method to transfer items.

Bug No corn in 2.3.5 expert mode.

You may be better off just exploring - I've found corn to be fairly common in the village greenhouses.

    How does one magic?

Though sometimes the best way to recharge wands isn't to use nodes at all. If you have your wand on your hotbar, when you kill mobs you'll get small amounts of vis. Early on just run around at night and kill things. Later I like to set up a cursed earth spawner whose mobs end up in a...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

Botania's managlass (though unfortunately not its panes) is a light source. That makes it great for a building material when you don't want torches; just the right amount of clarity, and even with Expert mode it's quite easy to obtain in large quantities reasonably early. Making the vitreous...

    What happened to Modpack changelogs?

They're kind of hidden, but if you go to the curse website for the pack in question and click on the files link, then click on the filename, it will show the details for it including the changelog. This of course depends on whoever is maintaining the pack to create useful changelogs; sometimes...

Endoflames are actually quite weak. I have a fully automated stuffed eggplant to gourmyalis setup right now that's producing more mana than I know what to do with - I ended up just setting down a hiveacynth just to have it going somewhere. That can be done without going down the tech tree at...

My mana pool eats items: Help?

What are you dropping into it? Is it (or what it turns into) burnable, and an endoflame nearby? It'll happily gobble it up.

easy way to kill wither in ftb infinity?

My preferred method: Grab a couple buckets of milk (or milk bottles if MFR is present) on your hotbar, then make a standard 1x2 tunnel about 64 blocks long. There shouldn't be any caves or other tunnels nearby, but otherwise it can be basically anywhere. Now at the end dig out space to place...

    [1.7.10]Hubris V1.6.1- HQM - 270+ Quests [Magic][Dungeons][Dimensions][Exploration] Ex-Listed!

Yes. While I don't recall the exact name of it, it's from Witching Gadgets, and its entry in the Thauminomicon either starts out unlocked or is very early in WG's page. It automatically outputs to an inventory adjacent to the side opposite of where you placed it from. Just stick it behind a...

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

On that note, one cool little thing I noticed a few months back: AromaBackup's default settings can consume huge amounts of disk space. It's a good idea to change them to keep less copies around.

What cool little thing have you discovered today?

I was just looking at the online copy of Lexica Botania, and noticed the following in the petal apothecary description: A simple tip for those who want to squeeze the biggest efficiency out of every block is as follows, up to twenty seconds after crafting a flower in this block, right clicking...

    Mod Mechanics you like/don't like

I like mechanics where there's a large amount of work to make the tools to make your tools, but then the tools themselves are fairly easy. Like with TerraFirmaCraft's way of making metal tools; it takes a large amount of bronze to make a bloomery, but once you have that you can start turning...

    Request Portal gun for 1.7.10?

There's the Recall Stones mod that's in the new Magic Farm pack if it's the getting from point A to point B that you want rather than portals themselves. I haven't gotten around to properly trying it myself though; I added it to my custom pack and just got to the point where I'll have the ender...
