What other specs?

Running Vanilla minecraft or FTB 1.4.2 i get fine FPS (60-100) But as soon as i start playing the mindcrack pack I get 25-30fps. Anyone know what could help fix the lag? I use OptiFine and it hasn't helped much I run both FTB packs w/ 1.5GB of RAM as well
