If it has game-breaking issues, then play another pack. The whole pack is basically based on IguanaTweaks. It's like taking IC2 and Forestry out of basically any other pack. But if you like it without IguanaTweaks, suit yourself. You won't get the whole experience of MF2 without it.

Made a mattock out of stone? You shouldn't be able to make anything out of stone. You must've messed up IguanaTweaks or something, because that shoudn't be possible.

I think survival is the obvious choice for my gamemode, but with bigger, harder builds I might use creative. I guess my first task is building an inn with an automated farm... The automation may take a while.

Unleashed just happens to be one of my favorites :D As for a server, I'm afraid I can't help you there... There are some public servers though. Also, maybe we could also play MF2 sometime. That one is my number one favorite pack.

I'd say neither. I don't think they have enough games yet to be worth the cost.

From my experiences, FTB runs fine on Macs. There shouldn't be any problems if you have a fairly new mac.

Once I put DRPG into FTB Ultimate. Veeeerry laggy. Once I played with DRPG, Harvestcraft, Metallurgy, Xtra Biomes XL, and I think a few others that I forgot.
