Just thought I'd add that theres also the Forge Lexicon. I know its not a machine but if you empower it every ingot you pick up will be converted. I think you can also wear it in a bauble slot.

I used a mod called MyTown its a forge version of towny. Works perfectly as it was designed for the mindcrack pack so it has most the IDs.
