Are you altering the config and then loading an existing world? Cause that would just disable newly generated surface stuff I think, not remove deposits already created. That's my thought anyway.

Any clever options to deal with light mages that do spawn? I have seen a few, most look moderately complicated (water, fans, etc). Or are the grinders fast enough to drop them if the combination of creeper/light mage comes up to not really worry about it?
