Remove optifine. FTB and optifine have never mixed well together. Its probably the main cause of most peoples graphical problems on FTB.

I think you would be best going for a modpack such as Ampz or FTB Lite, or you could try Tech World first then move on to Magic World. If none of these look suitable, try one of the tekkit modpacks as they are typically smaller than some of the FTB ones.
