    Portal Gun/Ultimate pack freeze

    Since other threads have suggested that it has something to do with the sounds, I tried changing the name of the Portal Gun sound folder in "/minecraft/resources/portalgun/sound". That worked and let me log in and I can successfully use my portal gun. Weird.

    I am using YogCraft, but I am having the same problem. The first time that I created my portal gun and equipped it, the game froze and I had to force-quit Minecraft.
