I use a frameship to mine in a forest biome because there's bauxite in forest biomes in addition to other ores. For netherrack, I just want netherrack so plopping down a quarry is fine and I actually don't burn tons of the stuff.

If you use transformer upgrades in the machines and feed it a large enough packet, energy upgrades are not needed. I run 10 overclockers with 2 transformer upgrades in my recyclers and feed them HV.

When they are overclocked they are lightning fast You can make a stack of mixed metal ingots in the time it takes waiting on the rolling machine to make one. It is also cheaper in terms of materials required to make them. I like this change a lot.

Normal, I don't get any drop at all. The only place I lag is in my steam boiler room that has 36 boilers. The cables are painted so I don't get any EU packet lag if that's what you are thinking.
