I believe TPL put the 0.8.2 as the recommended version on FTB launcher since there are some people complaining about corrupt games maybe.. I'm using 0.8.3 so far and all fine. My advice? Always have a backup, no matter what :)

Have you tried to downgrade HQM only? maybe put the whole 0.8.2 back...

@Tibiskus seems to be related to HQM, have you tried to rename your files on HQM save data folder and load again? You might lose quests but you can either redo them with HQM /edit or if loads close the game an put the old files back ... And as always do a backup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
