    What Linux disto are you running? Type lshw to show your hardware. You may have to force Java 64 with the -d64 param. My server parameters are as follows and have never had an issue - java -server -d64 -Xmx12G -Xms12G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalPacing...
