I agree with the previously stated opinions. Ars Magica is intended to be used by itself, and can easily provide infinite resources once you're into it. However, consider the bugs, such as unfairly OP mobs due to vanilla difficulty mechanics, or the render errors that it causes with turtles.

I'd like to weigh in. Soaryn promised adding me a config option to disable animations, but then he said those would be mandatory come 1.5. And now they are, but couldn't he provide replacement textures or something? I hope he meant what I thought by "fixed crystal rendering".

Fighting blazes to make a quarry makes little sense.
