    Dern it. I guess i'm stuck with vanilla till I upgrade the ole lappy. It still strikes me as weird that it happened when i downloaded the new update for ftb lite 3, then i couldn't downgrade back to the one that worked. Oh well, thanks for the help guys!!!

    Ok, I found the splash.properties file, but I'm not sure how to change the enabled-ness of it. But I added the dforge argument. The problem still persists. Would these files have anything to do with it? I had tried taking them out and relaunching, but they just end up getting re-downloaded and...
