That's good to know. I just saw AMD rebranding older cards alot although I haven't looked into their future plans. The 14nm chip would bring AMD's tdp for their cards alot lower and would raise more competition with nvidia, I'd assume.

Well I'm definitely gonna be saving for some upgrades down the line. After Intel 7th or 8th gen come out lol. Skylake isn't worth it it. But once I do upgrade my cpu (and mother board and ram because of it) I'll get a new gpu too, see what AMD releases (rebrands) then.

I'm perfectly happy with my 380 though, its never really struggled to play anything. Farcry 3, Skyrim, shadow of mordor, fo4, all play on ultra at 60+ fps, which is good enough. But I don't feel it'll be this good when I throw some newer games at it a year or two from now. Hence why I wish I...

Nice build :D but yeah gpu upgrade sounds like a good idea. Still, Skyrim and FO4 give me fps drops that bug the s*** out of me. But honestly, as much as I love the games, their horribly coded game engine holds them back. On another note, my gpu gets me like 105 fps avg in direwolf

Yeah I plan on getting a 250gb Samsung 850 m.2 ssd soon o: I think my i5 proves its worth on other games though. Skyrim and FO4 come to mind, which are stupidly reliant on the cpu, and are multithreaded.

I don't think you can run direwolf. It took my brothers laptop 25 minutes to load the pack with 4gb ram and it takes a good 4 of my 8gb total on my desktop. I'd say try it. But if it doesn't work then go ahead and download your favorite mods and make a small personal pack with just the very best...

I believe my girlfriends laptop has that feature. Using the integrated for anything and everything it desires to save power, and using the nvidia only when you force it to, or when the nvidia drivers detect a known game or gpu intensive task. Works well I suppose. I feel it could be better...

Yeah I did. For some reason my pc wouldn't show any display with my new gpu in so I had to remove it, boot bios, disable integrated graphics, then put the gpu back to get it to work. All's well now though :D
