    My understanding is that the theme for Horizons is to showcase some less-used mods. AE2 is pretty widely used in 1.7.10 modpacks, so I assume it was deliberately left out to force people to explore some of the other inventory management systems.

    My personal rule for this pack has been to not feed the condenser with cobblestone (including compressed cobble). Eternal free stuff from nothing feels too much like creative mode for my tastes.

    My bed doesn't work either. I think it's the one I got from a quest reward, I never built a replacement. When I die, I always respawn at the Caveworld portal. That's fine for me, since I carved out my base right next to it.

    My first couple of hours playing around with this modpack have been a lot of fun. Thanks DrasticDemise! I really like the mechanic where you build up Dark Power, then spend it on things. There are a lot of mods here I haven't used before, so I look forward to digging into some of them.

    It's pretty expensive. It costs a prismatic gem, which is the top tier material in Aura Cascade (making one prismatic gem requires 8 arcane gems, one of each color, and each of those gems takes three arcane ingots and a diamond in the Vortex Infusion Matrix).

    May I suggest you replace your tired old step-assist boots with a shiny new Sash of the Angel's heels (from Aura Cascade)? It's an automatic 3-block step assist, plus if you're at the bottom of a tall cliff and just push against it for a second, it will hop you up to the top. It's pretty fantastic.

    I feel dumb, but I can't figure out how to do it. I tried taking a block of coal in hand, then right clicking, left clicking, double right clicking, and shift right clicking on the individual storage bookshelf with an empty dense storage book in it. None of that seemed to do anything interesting.
