Do you have a texture pack installed? Have you tried switching back and forth between day and night modes? Have you tried seeing if it works in singleplayer? Its unlikely to be anything with the server because minimaps are entirely clientside.

Pretty low! I can't think of any game that uses more than 4 which leaves plenty of room for the OS and other misc. stuff. The only reason to have more than 8 is if you plan on doing video recording/streaming. Anyway, I would guess that Parthanaux spent most of his money on that 6 core processor.

I don't believe hats are permanent on mobs. Fill a pen full of animals and they will gain/lose hats at random. You could try just leaving the horse somewhere safe and the hat may just disappear on its own.

Do you have your Permgen and RAM allocation set to the same as the FTB launcher? If you don't, you won't be able to launch anything but Vanilla MC.

Its your java thats causing the problem, its actually a 32-bit version. In order to load up any modpack, you need the 64-bit version. Make sure when you download java that you get the 64-bit version, don't just click on the big Download Java Here button, which only gives you the 32-bit. Too...

Hmmm, I checked Solitarycraft, and it is running the standard version, but thats also the version that was giving me trouble in Resurrection.

Funny thing is, Optifine comes with the SolitaryCraft pack on the AT launcher, and it works just fine there, so it all comes down to certain mods/mod versions being incompatible.

Have you reduced the view distance and particle effects, turned of clouds, or turned changed the graphics setting from "fancy" to "fast". All those things can help you get a few extra fps. For Infinity, try turning off fastcraft, as I saw a major decrease in fps when I enabled it.
