I havent made it that far, and am likely restarting soon to do it with some friends as opposed to alone, but i believe the Thaumcraft recipes will tier with Gregtech, so if something stops you due to tiering you will be able to tell. Some things will be once you get LV going, IIRC.

I am unsure if gregtech aluminium works with TiCon, or at least for alloys. Oreberries from the quest reward work, however.

So, i think the ore gen spreadsheet has some inconsistencies. I found 8 iron veins in the twilight forest when it says they cannot spawn there. Also is nickel there? Or am i just unlucky?

I was referring to their GT ore equivalents, not the vanilla ores. Sorry for the confusion. By the way, is there a way to repair the iron pickaxe once it breaks if you do not have any iron? I do not want to waste my pick on stone if i cant repair it yet.
