They mentioned several weeks ago that the Beta pack would no longer be updated as there are several alternate packs available, the main ones being Direwolf, MindCrack and Magic. As the name implies the Beta Pack was a beta run and it is no longer needed.

Funny, as calling the mod arrogant is a very arrogant thing to say. People are entitled to hate it but that doesn't make GregTech a bad mod, it's just something which you personally don't like. And that's just fine. It's when people start slandering it for no good reason that it becomes a problem.

You've lost me I'm afraid. How this can be about the beta pack when the server the author is trying to log into requires 1.4.6? If he had been using it before the chances are he was using 1.4.5 and the beta pack has never been updated past 1.4.2. Unless the server has been 1.4.2 all this time...

Nobody mentioned beta. Most of the other packs are on 1.4.6.
